ਕਿਹਦੇ ਨੇੜਿਓਂ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਡਾਰੀ,
ਕਿ ਇਸੇ ਚ੍ਹ ਉਲਝੀ ਕਾਇਨਾਤ ਸਾਰੀ,
ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੀ ਕਿਸ ਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਸੀ,
ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਸੀ।
ਬਿਆਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ,
ਜੀ ਇਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਾਇਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ,
ਕਿ ਹਮਰਾਜ਼ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਾਜ਼ੁਕ ਲਗਰ ਸੀ,
ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਫੁੱਲਾਂ ਤੇ ਜਿਸਦੇ ਅਸਰ ਸੀ।
ਜੋ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਬੋ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਹੇਲੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ,
ਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਗੁਲਿਸਤਾਂ ਪਹੇਲੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ,
ਹਾਂ “ਸਰਤਾਜ” ਕਿਸੇ ਬੜੇ ਖ਼ੂਬ ਤਰਸੀ,
